Delaware campus of the University of Phoenix, Dr. Mary Sortino names Director of Academic Affairs

Wilmington, Delaware -
University of Phoenix, the nation's largest private university, has announced the appointment of Dr. Mary Sortino as director of academic affairs for the campus of the University of Delaware.

In his new role, Sortino responsible for the recruitment and management of the faculty, you create the calendar of the curriculum and administration of student applications.

"Mary brings a wealth of experience in higher education leadership of our new campus," said Tim Gilrain, director of the campus of the University of Delaware Phoenix. "We are pleased to welcome you and I am sure a tremendous asset and advocate for our students and teachers are his."

Before joining the University of Phoenix, Sortino was Chairman of the Department of Human Services and Social Sciences at Delaware Technical & Community College Terry Campus. With over a decade of experience in higher education administration Sortino began his career as a deputy program director of the Center for Adult Wesley College in New Castle and was also Dean of the Graduate and Professional Rosemont College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Sortino received his doctorate in clinical psychology at Widener University and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and sociology at the University of West Chester. In addition to his work in the field of higher education Sortino serves as a consultant for the Department of Health and Human Services.
